Restoration - Our Best Advice

Personal satisfaction is the best reason to revive one of these great classics. The Mercedes Benz classics built prior to the 1980s have a quality of construction not found in modern cars, and their low production numbers assure you that you own something very rare and special.

Before restoring a Classic Mercedes Benz, considerable thought must be given to what you want the end product to be and how you will use it. Typical restorations fall into two categories:

  • Are you to set a budget and are we to define what we can best do within that budget.
  • Do you want a restoration to achieve a desired overall quality.

Improvements

If your objective is to own a car and to enjoy on weekend drives or the occasional classic tour, you should consider restoring with a view to it being mechanically sound and protected against rust. While there will always be minor restoration and service work to do on any car that is twenty plus years old, it can usually be done while the car stays in use.

Ground up Concours Restoration

For those who prefer to own a classic car that has been made virtually new again, we recommend our unique remanufacturing process. Ground up or chassis off restoration taking care of every part of the car to the smallest detail, from the engine, running gear, upholstery, paint, and chrome is restored and will be brought back to the original manufacturer's specifications. The car will in effect be built to order - to your order, just as the workshops of the era would have done.
